About a year ago, Renault expanded the Koleos series, starting with the top debut in Paris. It first debuted during the 2016 Paris Motor Show. And today, customers in the UK can now get their hands on it.
The Initiale Paris is offered with a starting price of 36,700£ ($ forty-nine thousand five hundred and fifty-two) OTR. Deliveries of the model will begin this spring. the SUV features a unique body color Amethyst and also gets new exterior badging, 19″ two-tone alloys, and full LED headlights.
When you enter the cabin of the Renault Koleos Initiale Paris, you will undoubtedly appreciate its heated and ventilated front seats, two-tone Nappa leather upholstery, heated and cooled front cupholders, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, R-Link2 infotainment system with 8.7-inch display, 13-speaker Bose audio system, Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility, Tom-Tom built-in satellite navigation, and an automatic rear fender with key card or sensor for hands-free opening.
As for safety features, the Initiale Paris comes standard with advanced emergency braking, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, speed prevention traffic sign recognition and hill start assist. That’s not all, as it will also come with reverse radar on both sides, reverse camera, ESC with traction and understeer control, speed limiter, cruise control with speed limiter and electrochromic rearview mirror.
Of course, it’s never a good idea to skip discussing the Renault Koleos Initiale Paris drivetrain. It’s powered by a 2.0-liter dCi four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 177 horsepower (175 hp) and 380 Newton-meters (280 pound-feet) of torque. This is paired with a 7-speed Auto X Tronic transmission to power the four-wheel drive, which is standard. It can do the zero-to-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 9.5 seconds, just before reaching a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h).
The Renault Koleos Initiale Paris replaces the Signature Nav (£34,200), once the highest-spec Koleos.
For comparison’s sake, the Renault Koleos Initiale Paris actually costs less than the top-spec Nissan X-Trail (by about £800), both sitting on the same platform and with the same powertrain. It’s £3,745 cheaper than the Ford Edge Vignale and offers an output of 178 bhp. It’s also more affordable compared to the top-of-the-range Skoda Kodiaq (under £420).
As mentioned earlier, this model is already available to customers in the UK, but deliveries will not start until spring.
