Israeli artist Benyamin Reich presents a range of collages, woodcuts and drawings in this exhibition, which is on view at the Morry Rubin Gallery in Los Angeles until April 30.
Reich’s work is influenced by the works of Francis Bacon, George Grosz and Otto Dix. The artist’s work has been exhibited around the world since he first began exhibiting his work in galleries in Jerusalem in the late 1990s. In 2017 Reich became one of only four contemporary artists whose works are included among those selected for inclusion in MoMA’s permanent collection (the others are Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Richard Serra).

The Armory Show is the premier international art fair for modern and contemporary art in the United States and Canada. It was founded by Conor Byrne (Chairman & CEO) in 2010 as an alternative to Frieze New York during its 7th year of operation. In 2016 it became part of Art Basel Miami Beach’s events portfolio where it continues to perform strong sales growth year over year despite being one of three stand alone exhibitions within their portfolio which includes Art Basel Miami Beach as well as Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Day LA during Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) International Festival of Arts & Ideas annual event held annually since 2011*.

Over time, the gallery has continued to be dedicated to supporting newer artists from around the world by showcasing their work alongside those by established artists such as Frank Stella, Richard Serra and Andy Warhol himself.

The gallery was founded by artist and writer Morry Rubin (born 1944). He has established himself as one of America’s most important visual artists working today; his work has been exhibited at numerous museums including MoMA PS1, MOMA PS1 & NYSCA (New York State Council on the Arts), Smithsonian American Art Museum and Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden Washington DC among others throughout North America & Europe including Sao Paolo Brasil Grande National Museum Sao Paolo Brazil where he won an award for his portraits done during his visit there during 2004 where two were exhibited together for three months before being sent back home again!
